Starting college is a crazy time for most girls. You may be on your own for the first time, but college is the best place to meet friends to last you a lifetime. The Greek system is an even better place to make lifelong friends! You will be able to treasure an experience with some of the best students on campus. As a Kappa, these memories will be unforgettable!
Being a Kappa provides you with many opportunities to be an intricate part of the UC Davis campus! Here are some examples:
Leadership - As a Kappa, there are a variety of leadership opportunites to prepare students for future careers. Members are eligible for elected or appointed positions and committee participation within the chapter. Kappas may also choose to become involved in the leadership of one of the governing councils or the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society.
Scholarship - Academic achievement is a value of the UCD Kappas. We have held the highest GPA of all the sororities. Not only are we fun, but we know how important education is. It’s this combination that makes a Kappa’s college experience better than the rest!
Community Service - Kappas do our part in helping out our national philanthropy, through events like Kappa Klassic, as well as our local community. As a Kappa, you can interact with elementary and middle school students throughout Davis in our Reading Is Fundamental book drives.
Network/Support - On a campus with over 25,000 students, it is important to find a netwrok of friends and allies to provide the support needed to be successful. As an undergraduate, sorority experience provides opportunities to meet students from other campus chapters. Members are encouraged to participate in other campus life programs and to join other student organizations. Kappas truly value the opportunities we have in our organization.
University Involvement - Kappas can be found in all parts of campus life: Student Government Association, Intramural Sports, Honor Societies, student businesses… You name it! As Kappas, we play an important role in many of the events and initiatives on the campus, either through our own chapter or through involvement with other associations.
Friendship - Kappas have a bond that transcends time and space - a friendship that lasts a life time - and a sisterhood that one shares through the good times and provides support during the difficult challenges that come with being a college student.
